Ikea Heaven

We went to Ikea today, Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed the experiance. I am mr non shopper. However, being the tigh fisted get that I am, I enjoyed Ikea because I saw some decent stuff for a lot cheaper than you can get it at other stores. I was particularly taken with the venitian blinds.

We have planned another trip for a fortnight. I also intend to get a bookshef for the lounge. I cant bear to see all our books just siting in a pile any longer.

Burn Baby burn

Today, I did what I should have done years ago. I burnt loads of old letters and cards from old friends and lovers.

It was an extremely liberating feeling, letting go of the past. Cant think for the life of me why I never did it before. I would recomend it to anyone. Burn that old shite...its holding you back.

Family Tree has deep roots

I have for some time now been researching our Family tree. That is to say, IM looking into the Gregory Lineage. Being adopted has hampered me from researching my Irish/ West Indian Lineage. I do plan to look into the Irish side though as I'm am in touch with my birth mother.

Geoghegan is a popular and common name in Eire. Sorry, I digress.

The Gregory family tree is absolutely Massive though. I got a copy from an old lady who lives in tediously, she was born a Gregory but Married into the Hunstone Family. ( another Notable tediously clan).

At the moment I have only just scraped the surface with a few names and dates but Hopefully, as time passes I will have a a deeply interesting Log of Who our family really were.

Mozilla wont access Localhost arrgggggg

Well I went home in a bit of a stress last night. We are having a fan installed at work to keep the reception area warm. All in all a great idea but boy the noise it makes seriously disturbed me. I felt all agitated. When I got in I almost bit Toria head off.

Funny really, that when you are not mad at your partner they end up catching the bad mood.

That said, I did try to be in a better mood for the rest of the night. After a good tea of Spag bol. I set about trying to fix my cursed problems with IIS.

IIS stands for "Internet Information Services" and it allows you to create a virtual server on your computer so that you can test dynamic websites. My version of IIS is playing up. It will allow me to see pages build in ASP but only using Internet explorer. Most people would be happy about this as IE is still a popular browser. However, I have recently made the transition to Mozilla firebug .

Firefox is working fine at work and I can access "localized" no problems ....So why wont it work at home? No one I know seems to know, I have posted my problem on numerous forums and again no one seems to know.

This is driving me crazy because I desperately want to get on with some web development projects to earn a little extra cash.
