Liverpool Champions of Europe Again!

uefa.com�-�UEFA Champions LeagueLast nights match was an absolute heart Stopper, I cant remember a better match. Milan battered Liverpool from the opening minute, and took a lucky early goal.

After that Liverpool were denied a penalty and whilst LFC stood around waving their hands in the air Milan Broke free and scored the second. The third was complete class and Liverpool looked sunk.

At half time I had given up and was resigned to watching Liverpool conceed even more. I couldn=t beleive it.

After the break it was a completely different story. A couple of changes and Liverpool came out fighting.

3 beautiful goals later and I was sure the reds could win it. Milan held on Bravely and still showed sparks of danger but it went all the way to extra time.

During Extra time Milan looked the better team again, but this time Liverpool held on. Eventually the whole game was decided on Penalties...and it was Liverpools night!

Star Wars Episode 3

Well, I went to see Start Wars Episode 3 last night. cant say it moved me that much. In my opinion it was "polyfiller" that didnt quite fill all the gaps.

The film looked beautiful, magnificent backdrops and guafy colours. Detailed fight scenes and amazing CG. However the fight scenes were overblown in my opinion. The space fights in particular were way too hectic.

Ewan MacGeregor's acting was truly awful. I cant remember seeing him act so badly. He was trying to take Harrison Ford's one liners, but he failed miserably. Trying to inject comedy into the film didn't seem as natural as in the Prequels.

Plot holes were gaping too. In "A New Hope"...Ben Kenobi doesnt recognise the droids, even thought they have been with him for 3 films????

Also he seems to completely have forgotten about Leah...even though he was there at her birth? Ben said to me that he heard Chewbacca was a female...the film does somewhat suggest this through use of costume...but this page from the actor sorts all that out.

Perhaps it's just my age , but I'd rather have the first three films anyday. I will just add though, the new remastered on DVD 1st three films are a triumph. I have the remastered ones on VHS and they aint a patch on the DVD version which have been sharpend up again and added sound and colour. On ly thing I dont like is they have cut bits out...like the millenium Falcon being unreliable and ...the subtitles for greedo and Jabba.

Guesss I'm a purist.

Tideswell

Tideswell is my home town. It's on top of a hill in the Peak District England. Its a Large village really, with about 2,000 inhabitants. My Parents families have lived there for generations. I was raised there. Tideswell used to be a very important village. It was situated in an area called the Kings Larder and the King of England used to hunt in the vicinity.

The Tideswell lead miners were renowned for their strength and were much prized by the military authorities. George III is reported to have remarked when a group of miners were paraded before him in London-

" I don't know what effect these men will have on the enemy, but Good God they Frighten me".

If you ever visit Tideswell, my advice is don't pick a fight!!

Ha ha...I cant beleive it Liverpool are through to the Champions League FINAL!!! Woo hoo!!!

After beating Chelski 1-0 at Anfield we go through. It was worth it just to see the look on Mourhinio's face!!! Smug Twat...not a lot to say now eh Pal? Shhhhh! haha...Get it!!! I couldn't beleive there was 6 minutes added on though? for what?


The goal I'll conceed was a bit dodgy and chelsea played better than we did ...but if the goal hadnt counted their keeper would have been off without a doubt. SO I'm just looking forward to the final now and hoping that we can repeat the last European cup final I can remember - 1984.
